Every four years, the Elliot Clan Society holds a gathering of the clans in Scotland. There will also be an international gathering of the clans in 2009.

In addition to the gathering, there will be an evening Ceilidh. There will also be a Clan tent at the international gathering of the clans.

Attendees
- There have been about 250 people at past gatherings.
- Children of any age are welcome.
- Photographs are permitted at Hermitage Castle and also in the Clan room.

- Wet-weather gear is essential in Scotland at all times of the year.

International Clan Gathering 2009
In addition to the 2009 Elliot Clan Gathering, Scotland is planning an International Gathering of the Clans to be held at Edinburgh Castle on July 25 and 26, 2009.
